DVLA status data can confirm the registered vehicle and current status, while DVSA records show how MOT results and mileage developed over time. Paid Experian AutoCheck data adds finance, stolen, write-off and other provenance markers that are not established by the MOT timeline.
A single item rarely tells the whole story. For example, a mileage pattern may suggest a question for the seller without proving why the readings changed. A keeper or plate change may be routine, but it should still match the documents and explanation you receive.
