Why Data Sources Matter
A feature label is only useful when you know what records sit behind it. Registration data, MOT tests and commercial provenance markers are maintained for different purposes, so a vehicle report must combine them carefully and describe their limits accurately.
DVLA: Registration and Status Data
DVLA is the official source used by VEHIXA for current tax and MOT status, CO2 information and the vehicle's registered keeper count. These details help confirm that the registration entered returns the vehicle the seller has advertised.
A registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner, and the keeper count is not a list of names. Treat it as one part of the vehicle's recorded history rather than proof of ownership.
DVSA: MOT and Mileage History
DVSA supplies the MOT test history and mileage readings recorded at those tests. VEHIXA uses this chronology to show passes, failures and advisories and to highlight mileage progression that deserves closer review.
MOT mileage is a sequence of recorded readings, not a mechanical inspection of the odometer. Buyers should compare it with service invoices, the dashboard and the vehicle's physical condition.
Experian AutoCheck via One Auto API
On the paid tier, VEHIXA calls the Experian AutoCheck £10,000-guarantee service through One Auto API. That layer returns finance, stolen and write-off data, keeper history, plate changes, high-risk markers and vehicle-identity information for the Full Report.
VEHIXA does not display VINs to users. It also does not claim direct Police National Computer access or provide a live Motor Insurance Database status feature. Stolen markers shown in a Full Report are supplied through the Experian AutoCheck integration described above.

The £10,000 Data Accuracy Guarantee applicable to eligible full checks is provided solely by Experian — VEHIXA passes through this benefit to qualifying customers but is not itself the guarantor.
